INTRODUCTION

The company known today as Edeco Petroleum Services Limited (EDECO) combines a long history of international trading in the oil and gas industry and in other industrial sectors. The name EDECO stems from the original company name 'English Drilling Equipment Company Limited' which was founded in 1931 for the purpose of manufacturing oilfield and water well drilling and associated equipment.

Today, EDECO is owned by the Simmons Group of Canada and combines Simmons world-wide experience and reputation in oilfield drilling and workover with it's own impressive history in onshore drilling and workover, oilfield and industrial services together with a strong capability in design and specialist manufacturing.

EDECO and Simmons have operated in 35 countries and sold equipment in 26 countries and currently have 14 bases or representative offices together with a network of agents and associates world-wide.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

EDECO offers a range of quality products and services to the oil, gas, geothermal, mining and geoscientific industries and for a range of industrial applications with a strong emphasis on health, safety and environmental protection. The principal activities of EDECO are:

Onshore drilling and workover services
Wellhead and valve repair and maintenance services
Oilfield equipment supply and specialist services
Oilfield tubular services
Industrial diesel engine and transmission services
Design and manufacture of specialist drilling equipment

These various services and products are offered through operating divisions or local companies, joint ventures or other trading associations world-wide.
